Nikita Dhawan and María do Mar Castro Varela took part in the interdisciplinary workshops, the LABoratoires, in Dakar in May 2023 together with the artists and curators in preparation for the exhibition Ré-imaginer le passé. In their talks, Maria do Mar Castro Varela and Nikita Dhawan will engage with the complex relation between critical thought and revolutionary practice. They will focus on how nurturing critical thinking can help the task of imagining non-dominant futures and of harvesting utopias out of hopeless conditions.
